Jennifer Elkins, EdD, LPCS, RPTS
Dr. Elkins is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor (LPCS) specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, and Play Therapy (RPTS). Jennifer maintains private practices in Mauldin (Upstate office) and Florence (Pee Dee office). The Upstate office was established in 2015 after Jennifer moved with her family to the Simpsonville area. She still maintains a caseload and supervises other counselors in the Pee Dee office that she established in 2005.
With over 21 years experience in the counseling field and as a professor in Human Services and Psychology, Dr Elkins is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are working with children from ages 3 and up; individuals with developmental disabilities; individuals with mood disorders; individuals with anxiety disorders; behavioral disorders in children; medical issues in adults and children (especially Multiple Scleorsis & Type 1 Diabetes); trauma; and grief.
In addition to being a prominent counselor and professor, Dr Elkins has presented at state and local conferences speaking on the topics of Play Therapy and Mental Health. Dr Elkins is an Approved Provider of Continuing Education for the Association for Play Therapy and the SC Board of Counselors. Type 1 Diabetes is another area of interest for Dr Elkins. She presented on dealing with Type 1 Diabetes in the "tween" years, as well as on dealing with parent burnout at the JDRF Type 1 Diabetes Summit in 2017.
Dr Elkins is currently a past president of the South Carolina Association for Play Therapy, but continues to serve in an active role in the organization. Dr Elkins served as the President for this state association from 2013-2017.
Dr Elkins provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Jenny Eastin, LISW-CP
With over 20 years experience in the counseling field, Jenny is currently serving as a private practitioner. Among her areas of expertise are working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, stress, and life transitions. Additionally, Jenny has extensive experience in helping people cope with serious and life-altering medical illnesses such as cancer, caregiver stress/burnout, and end of life issues. Jenny previously worked as a Palliative Care Social Worker with a Greenville area hospital system and as a Counselor at a local cancer organization.
Jenny provides a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment that embraces the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. Lucy Henry, LPC , CEAP has over 25 years in the counseling field. She has spent most of her career working in the Employee Assistance Profession and in hospital chaplaincy.
Lucy’s approach to therapy is that we all hold the solutions to our life situations and as a therapist she guides each individual or couple into finding the right pieces to place in the puzzle. Lucy enjoys working with individual adults and couples who are dealing with transitions, workplace issues, spiritual issues, grief and loss, and mood disorders. She also enjoys working with older adolescents. Her counseling approach is solution focused and person centered.

Reena Freeman, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Freeman is a licensed psychologist, specializing in psychotherapy and therapeutic assessment. She obtained her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology in Orange, California. She also holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology. In her ten years of experience, Dr. Freeman has had extensive experience and clinical training in child, adolescent, and collegiate mental health. Utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including play therapy, Dr. Freeman provides therapeutic services, comprehensive psychological assessment services, crisis intervention and management, group therapy services, outreach presentations, and clinical supervision.
In addition to being a psychologist and a professor, Dr. Freeman currently serves as a member on the Annual Conference Proposal Committee for the Association of Play Therapy (APT). As an active member in the Association for Play Therapy, she has held various leadership roles, including Secretary for the Orange County Chapter (California Branch, 2009-2010), Member-At-Large for Southern California (2010-2011), and Southern California Regional Conference Coordinator (2011-2015).
Dr. Freeman’s approach emphasizes openness, understanding, a safe and supportive environment, and collaboration between therapist and client. Utilizing an integrative approach, she assists each client in addressing personal life experiences and tailors the therapeutic process to each client in order to promote healing and personal growth.

As a teen, Nicole faced some circumstances that were out of her control but learned to own them and work with what she was given. She is passionate about helping others be healthy and happy in life and in relationships. Nicole has experience with adolescents who have been through traumatic situations and helped them to know that there is hope. She takes pride in helping others find their purpose and be confident with what that purpose is. She serves adolescents, teens, and adults with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and setting boundaries in relationships by building a partnership in a safe environment where they can find validation and support without judgement.
